AVG Network Edition offers a unique combination of detection methods (heuristic analysis, generic detection, scanning and integrity check) to ensure that both your network and workstations receive the maximum protection possible on multiple levels (Resident Shield, Email Scanner plug-ins, Personal Email Scanner, On-Demand scanning and other tests)
The AVGADMIN program provides the network administrator with effective tools to centrally administer and manage all workstations on the network. AVGADMIN also allows you to centrally administer installation and configuration, virus database and program updates, and perform tests on remote network workstations.
As a special bonus, included with AVG Network Edition is the AVG File Server Edition which provides complete protection for Microsoft Windows NT4/2000/2003 and Linux servers
AVG Network Edition Licensing
The number of licenses is based on the total number of workstations and file servers combined, including:
- All workstations on the network
- Workstations that are not running AVG but are connected to a file server that is using AVG File Server Edition
- Workstations that are not on the network (eg: remote offices), but have AVG installed on them
- File servers on the network
Configurations of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 75, 100 licenses are available for purchase online. Configurations above 100 licenses are available for purchase offline by contacting Sales Support. Note that configurations between 100 and 200 licenses come in increments of 10 (ie: 110, 120, 130, etc.). And configurations above 200 licenses come in increments of 25 (ie: 225, 250, 275, etc.).
